You don't need to know your Bible/Akkadian/cuneform as the author links each aspect with the relevant quotes and needless to say, all are open to interpretation. Taking the view that the MO would skim-read-skim, it turned out that reading was the bigger part because ancient god families are interesting whether the leap to Sitchin's interpretation is taken on board or not. The epic Sumerian stories are blockbusters all in their own right - let's hear a Ra Ra Ra (hee) for Enki.

This was a fun romp for a rain-stopped-play day, however I am not inclined to search out the rest of the series.
