Much later, as he watched his manservant, Perkins, eating the dog, Quimby gloomily reflected on the unusual events of the evening.
The cover is brilliant isn't it, but it doesn't reflect the story inside as it's only the young Vic that we meet, and she is not exactly doling out axe swipes by the dozen either. The Browns are what makes this relatively palatable ... the Browns and a whole load of skimming over entrail entries, of which there are swathes of intestinal descriptions.
