Actress Penny Downie reads the remarkable story of Judith Tebbutt's 192 days in captivity at the hands of Somali pirates.

In September 2011, Judith Tebbutt and her husband David embarked on a dream holiday on an idyllic beach resort in Kenya. On the first night, their worst nightmares became reality, when they are awoken by violent intruders, and Judith is dragged away towards a waiting motor-boat.

And so begins the story of Judith's near-seven-month ordeal at the hands of ruthless Somali pirates and so ends the life she knew and loved.

Written by Judith Tebbutt.

Reader/ Penny Downie, Producer/ Justine Willett for the BBC

Jeepers but the beginning is revoltingly subjective. Lordy but this lady is wanting to make a buck, an ordeal does not an author make.
