It was April but the shower was far from sweet. London lay under a familiar cloak of heavy smoke and the Warwick stage decanted a load of grumbling passengers into the chilly wind and sudden downpour.

This is the last in the Canaletto series and in my usual scatterheadedness, here is where I start.

Found a 'mistook' on page 242 where the artist renowned for his horse flesh painting is called James Wootton, whereby it should read John Wootton. Pernickerty wench that I am.
