(twit tw)Oooooooh - I lurve me some Highsmith and if the first episode tension keeps up throughout then a 5* it will be. Knuckle biting stuff...

...If this was Stripes, the film, then newly divorced, jobless, homeless, framed-up and shot-at Robert Forester would have joined the army and done the whole 'why did the chicken cross the road' dance routine AND walked away with a pretty dame on his arm.

Could have been that way but it wasn't.

It wasn't that way because this is Highsmith at her darkest.

Superb.
