As everyone and his shillelagh knows 'The Dead' is the very last insert in the collection 'Dubliners', and in my humble opinion, it is the most profound one of the bunch.

A note about the film - there is no way that the dancers would have just walked through those dances, they would have whirled and twirled with gusto.
